Wheelie bar options for the 1/16 mini Savage XS? The Traxxas #7184 for the mini-Revo is a good choice as its two wheels make the wheelie more stable, and you can adjust the height of the wheelie – or NO wheelie.
This 3D print Wheelie Bar Adaptor connects the #7184 to your Savage XS’ Skid Plate seamlessly – Without any measuring and drilling hassle.
The HPI Savage XS Truck, Traxxas #7184 Wheelie Bar set, HPI #105298 Bumper/Skd Plate Set are for demonstration purposes only – They are not included in this kit.

Instruction (You don’t need to remove the skid plate from the car. This instruction shows a removed skid plate because it’s easier to take photos) :
- Remove the two screws holding the bumper and the skid plate.
- Place the mount plate #1 inside the skid plate as shown in the picture.
- Place the mount plate #2 outside of the skid plate, then use the included M3x12mm screw to fix it with the inside plate. Do Not over tighten the screw.
- Using the two longer screws(M2.5x14mm) from the Traxxas #7184 kit, install the lower wheelie bar bracket over the inside mount plate #1, as shown in the picture. Do Not over tighten the screw.
- Using the two shorter screws(M2.5x8mm) from the Traxxas #7184 kit, install the upper wheelie bar bracket over the outside mount plate #2. Do Not over tighten the screw.
- Snap the upper arm to the desired position on the lower arm.
- It’s not necessary, but you can use your own m2.5 nuts and washers to reinforce the two lower arm screws.
- Reinstall the two screws holding the bumper and the skid plate.
- Enjoy the wheelie!
Once installed, the wheelie bar can be quickly removed by simply removing the four m2.5 screws.
Or, you can also follow the Traxxas #7184 instruction to remove the two 3x40mm screw pins.
